Turning off Navigation Audio
I was wondering if anyone knows how to turn off the step by step audio directions on command navigation. I like to use the navigation but I just don't like the lady's voice interrupting my music or peace. It was pretty simple to turn off the audio on my Acura but I have yet to figure it out on my new E550.
Thanks

It is possible and in that sense useful to add to the list of options but does that option really make sense? A big hassle to turn it on and off that way, to be sure it is all the way off first and specifically to turn it back to the preferred level. On the other hand I know a lot of drivers doing this (most are not aware of the mute option).

fwiw, you can also just say "audio off" using VC. Volume level will remain the same for next time when you say "audio on."
Basically the same as Diesel Benz's suggestion of using the mute button, but hands-free instead......
