DVD w/MP3
Any one try to put MP3s on DVD for your W212.
I tried it with Nero (software) and DVD-R under several different format but still no luck with it.
Anyone got it going? Thanks in advance.

I've made two mp3 DVDs for use in my 212.
I also used Nero (6 Ultimate Edition) - the DVD-ROM (ISO) option and they play just fine in the car. I only regret that I forgot to name the discs and so now I have to try and remember which "New" disc has which music.

any special settings? or just default? and what type of disc did you use? I used DVD-R

The discs are DVD+R (Memorex 16x). They're not new or anything - have had them for a couple years. I've never used DVD-R before. There was a reason why I always bought +R, but I can no longer remember what it is. haha

W212 but which head unit? Or is Comand standard in the US (you don't mention your location, could fill up your profile, but since you mention 550, I assume the US or Canada)?

I think just default. No multisession. I'd never made an mp3 DVD before so I think I just left the settings alone.

Great that you got it working. For Comand it should be obvious that DVDs should play. There was another thread about Audio 20 which does not seem to play DVDs, I did not even expect that from Audio 20 but someone noticed that the manual tells MP3 from DVD should work, this is also why I was after your head unit type.
