The concept of those lights is just so played out in my opinion. They were great in 2002. But now they don't even look good on the original Lexus IS. There's a few Ford pickup trucks they look good on, but that's about it. Makes the E look like a space ship.
Nice choice with the tails! They set the car apart from the thousands of other e classes on the road.
If you like them, that's all that matters. None of these opinions mean anything. They are genuine OEM Mercedes parts.. it's not like you're throwing on a set of ebay tail lights.

not so sure about that.
but like I said earlier on my post. if OP likes it, thats all that matters. its just not for some people. but thats what usually happens when you post something on the net. people will normally have good or not so good reactions to it.

First of all, thanks for not requoting the picture so it's constantly reappearing on the same page! It takes forever to scroll down a page sometimes!
They are in fact a genuine mercedes part. I have the same set of tails in original Mercedes boxes and all the internals are marked with Mercedes logo. In the very corner of the tails, there is a small star logo as well. In the EU these were included as an optional part as part of the Sport package. I really like the way they light up at night. The LED pattern is much more clear without the red overlay on the original tail lights.
^ thanks for the confirmation. although yours looks a bit tinted compared to the OPs but maybe its just the lighting. and it looks better on a white car, ill give you that. i kinda grows on you but I still wouldnt put it on mine. just my 2 cents.
I was shocked to find those were actual genuine mercedes tails as well. I think they definitely look aftermarket but I could see how on certain cars they could look good. Interesting.
Thx, I'm loving it so far. Luckily I have about a 30 mile each way commute to work almost all highway. So I get to push it pretty good each day. My first luxury car and I'm not disappointed.

Wow I have to admit they look WAY better on the white! Not bad actually.
thanks mate, thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. saw those tails on a black 212 on another thread. seems like it only goes well with a white car.
