been lurking for a few months to gather info before I made my purchase. just picked this up about a week agoooo (week ago.) 2010 E350 with all the options. going to be selling the wheels/tires soon if any one is interested. 18" OEM Mercedes wheels painted semi gloss black? going to upgrade to 19". Just got it tinted. probably going to do a bit of wrapping on some of the chrome (trunk and sidestrips.)
Thanks for the kind words, guys. The old car is a goodie, had it for 20 years now. It's not restored, and the generous lens of the Note 4 seems to mask some of the patina, but if it is anything, it is photogenic. It's also pretty reliable, and fun to drive.
If only they still made "Quartz Blue" for the W212 (which is a very good car too).
For lack of a better term, I would feel like a baller driving that car to a nice dinner or something of the sort, even with the patina, which I think gives it character. Are you planning to restore it or leave it as it is?
This color was avaible beetween 2009-2013 for W212.
Here in my little hometown (Population only 20.000 people) are at least 5 or 6 E class W212 with this color, I have seen.
But it is still a rare color, most common colors for the E class W212 here in my region is black, gray, silver and blue.
Unless I stumble into a pile of money, leaving it as-is and dealing with any issues as they arise. This wouldn't be a cheap car to restore, and values aren't terribly high. Even though the car is something of a sentimental object, I can't justify the expense just yet. It also looks "good enough" for me, and runs fine.
