Lost my favorite car in a flood. Here's the replacement...
I used to drive a 2006 Lincoln LS Sport. I loved the car. Unfortunately, I lost it in a flood over the summer. Here is a picture of the Lincoln and some pictures of my new to me 2011 E350. It's a very different ride from the Lincoln but as I mod it we a beginning to bond.![** Official W212 E-Class Picture Thread **-image.jpg](https://mbworld.org/forums/attachments/e-class-w212/321377d1542309852t-official-w212-e-class-picture-thread-image.jpg)

2013 E550 4Matic
Vossen CV5 20x9" et32 and 20x10.5" et42 wrapped in Nitto NT555 235/35/20 and 275/30/2... again, lowered on Vogtland springs. With this setup, the OD of all tires are about even, so my 4Matic doesn't complain. No spacers. No rubbing except on ridiculous speed bumps, otherwise the shallow ones are fine. And the slower the better, obviously.

^You have to be within a certain margin, namely 1/10th of an inch rolling diameter, for 4-Matic to be compliant. The sidewall profile is a percentage of the width, so typically you want to go 40mm wider in the rear and a sidewall profile step down (35 to 30) in order to have similar rolling diameters from to back.

Here's how the sizes compare for my setup:
Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
235/35-20 --- 3.2in --- 13.2in --- 26.5in --- 83.2in --- 762 --- 0.0%
275/30-20 --- 3.2in --- 13.2in --- 26.5in --- 83.2in --- 761 --- 0.1%
And here's yours:
Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
245/30-20 --- 2.9in --- 12.9in --- 25.8in --- 81.0in --- 782 --- 0.0%
275/30-20 --- 3.2in --- 13.2in --- 26.5in --- 83.2in --- 761 --- 2.7%
( http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html )
Pay attention to Diameter and Revs/Mi ... you will probably have issues with your 4Matic at some point. I'm not sure exactly how 4Matic works, but I would think it takes into account how fast each wheel is turning in order to make decisions on where to send power... if they're not revolving at the same rate, the computer won't be able to do what it needs to do. As far as what problems you might expect, I have no idea. Better safe than sorry though.
Edit: Oh, and "OD" refers to "Outer Diameter," which is the full diameter of the tire, as opposed to Inner Diameter, which measures the bead, where the rim makes contact with the tire (about 20" in this case)

Learned something today!!
hopefully 2.7% wont impact much on the 4MATIC system.
I have been using this setup for like 6 month already.
I guess I can't just change the front only because New front and old rear will have different traction. Thats gonna mess up the system even more right ???
If so,
I will have to use this set up till May 2016
then get PSS set with same specs of your set up.
Fingers crossed for now.
