I'm actually going to be getting a new set of Vossen CV3's via the warranty so I'm really happy about that. Unfortunately this set started showing the hairline cracks.

good thing you were able to see that.
is this a common problem with Vossens? i reckon i came across another thread with the same problem way back.
If you go by what history tells you then the answer is yes
.
I'm not a vendor or anything but all wheel manufactures have there "cheap line". Known as cast rims. Cant expect much for a set of rims under $1200. If you want quality go for Forged rims and pay the $3000+
I was surprised to find Made In Taiwan on the back of my Avant garde wheels.
I like the new setup much better. I was looking at getting a pancake tank to fit in the spare tire well when I was thinking of bagging mine, so I could hide everything under the floor, but the shop advised against it because of the 4Matic. I think it can be done, but if 2/3 shops I asked (the third with questionable quality) say it can't be done, consider me turned off the idea until someone actually does it lol.
and i thought Vossens have an above average quality wheels?
wish somebody from Vossen/distributor/vendor would chime in.

Our new CV3-R was redesigned and is much stronger than the CV3. We now reverse engineer all our wheels to TUV standards. In addition our Vossen Forged wheels are manufactured in our TUV verified facility in Miami.
Happy to hear Diego is taking care of you with a full warranty exchange for a new set.
One of our test cars is our Mercedes-Benz E63 S with a full Renntech Stage III build.

is the your actual car? love the color combo! welcome and congratulations!
Yes. I pulled it from the dealer site but here it is parked. I'm 6'4 and one thing that I really appreciate is stretching my left leg between the wheel well and the brake. Provides that extra comfort while driving.
My next step is looking through this forum for COMAND upgrades and getting bluetooth streaming audio to work. I did the hidden menu engineering mode but even with bluetooth audio enabled, I can't get it to recognize my iphone SE even though it recognizes it via bluetooth phone functionality.

love that tan interior mate! nice pick!
had the same problem with my coupe. had the command updated from the dealership, (some say it costs hundreds but i wasnt charged by my dealer at all), and bluetooth works seamlessly with phone and music. my sedan only works with phone and I use an old ipad for music. didnt bother to have it updated. goodluck mate!
