Input destination while moving

I have a 2010 E350 and today when I tried to input an address into the navigation, a warning window came up that said it was not possible while the car was in motion so I ended up doing it by voice entry. I have been able to input the addresses while moving last week and on every other MB I have owned, but not now on the E. I looked in the manual and it states that certain countries cannot do this while driving over 3 mph but doesn't say which ones. Can I just take it to the dealer and have them re-code the navigation for the US? Why would it just randomly not allow me to do it?

It is really bad news. I alwasy valued MB and BMW becasue I could enter address when moving. If it is safety feature, then dealer won't disable it, even if it can be done. BTW can you enable auto passanger mirror tilt down when you move reverse? This feature was disabled in previous generation and I hope it was reenabled in the current one.

Yes the W212 has the tilt down pass mirror. Back by popular demand

You can disable it by selecting the driver side mirror button rather than the passenger side mirror button...

The Operator's Manual explains how to enable the passenger mirror tilt-down. Once enabled, you cannot disable it. However, if you press the driver's side mirror button, the tilt-down will not operate until you press the passenger side button again.
I prefer it this way because I can select when I want it to tilt-down vs. doing it every time I reverse.
I think most cars sold in US are going to system where you cannot enter addresses uses buttons and controller as a safety feature. Lexus is also this way. I have gotten into the habit of using the voice mode all the time. It is slower, but easy-and safer.
