My new E550
Well I wasn't planning on even placing an order till may as my 335i lease isn't up till November but my dealer received their first 550 since I have been looking and I wanted stop in to test drive it. It had just about every thing I wanted plus the multicontour seat and split fold down rear seats.
After the test drive my sales person said why don't we try to work out some numbers and even though I thought it was going to be a waste of time I said ok. They came back with what I think was an unbelievable deal and paid my remaining payments on my 335.
I picked it up this past Monday after work and this morning put on my first coat of Zaino. I love this car!!

Congrats. Very interesting how many 335i owners have switched to 212's, per this Board. I always found some of the 212's lines/shapes to be similar, I wonder if that has a subconscious (or conscious) effect.

My older brother has a 335i and that is a completely different car than a w211 or w212...no comparison imho....
You have to drive a 335i to know what I'm referring to. And to those who have, know what I mean!

Your right. It's apples and oranges. As far as quickness goes I think they are pretty close but you just have a feel for the road that you don't get with the w212. But then with the w212 you get a much better ride.
All in all I obviously think they E550 is a good compromise. It's quick when I want it to be and then very sedate and smooth when you want.
