Maybe your dealer's early allocation is spoken for. I ordered my car a month ago and I still don't have confirmation for June build. If they don't confirm by next week, it will be a July build with August delivery.

Also, I understand that the changes for the 2011 model involve color choices. Probably a modest price increase as well, but when they dropped it nicely over the 2009 model, you're still probably ahead.

Other MY2011 changes :
The "ESP Off" switch will be deleted, but ESP can still be turned off with Command.
Climate Control info will be displayed on the Command Screen. (beginning with September production).
Change of transmission mode selector switch from "C/S" to "E/S", E = economy.
When the vehicle door is open, transmission will not shift from park.
New paint option "Diamond White Bright" (code 799) available from September production.

It would odd to see the MY 2011's increase in price in the U.S. considering how weak the euro is vs. the dollar. Actually if they're only doing option changes the price should go down but probably won't.

For Canadian production, the formerly standard pano-roof becomes part of the Premium package and the AMG 6 twin spoke alloys become 5 twin spoke alloys (code 791).
Other MY2011 changes :

I have a build date of first decade of July. I expect delivery mid August. Dealer does not have prices yet but he expects a small increase over 2010 .

I was just told by my dealer that my 2011 E550 4matic is "on the boat" scheduled to arrive in the port June 24th. At that point MB won't release it until the majority of 2010's are spoken for. Bummer.

I just ordered an E550 4Matic today. Sat with Sales Manager while he entered the order. Will be a 2nd decade July production. Definitely a 2011. Probably will get here late August/early September.

Here in California, my dealer told me they have a 4matic slot coming up, and that if I ordered it would probably be built in July and available here about 7 weeks later, so probably end of Sept.

If you have P2 I'd be interested to know what the shape of the LEDs are (hockey stick or straight). I'm picking up my 2011 E550 next week but the dealer still says he does not know what all of the 2011 changes are.

The new features from what I can tell are:
The Hockey Stick LED lights AND Ambiant Lighting now come stadandard in the P1 package.
The light switch seems much more stable and well construced than the model I drove a few week ago (might have been just that model). Also you have
a seperate rear foglight switch (think thats already been discussed as well).

Whoa, you're saying the LED's are standard on ALL Sport Models (i.e ones that come with P1)?? That would be insane, as I'm sure that would have been publicized. Perhaps only on the E550's that's the case?

I ended up going 350. Yes the seem standard with P1 package. 5 spokes are real nice. Photos later. Thanks for setting me straight with the White and Almond. Looks awesome.
