goes both ways

Actually, I do mention when things go right or I work with good people. I like to provide positive reinforcement and reward good employees. I don't write letters until after 3-4 go-rounds to get something fixed. I tip well in restaurants but call the manager over if the waitress does not show up to the table.

What button and/or adjuster are you talking about? Is is the "L" shaped thing on the door for adjusting seat and headrest?

Looks like more cheap plastics on W212. The rear right seat belt buckle on mine was replaced under warranty last week.

I have not found any cheap plastic on any MB. There is plastic on all cars but nothing cheap about that used in an MB. Perhaps you abused the buckle or your kids did.Or it could have been defective. The end result is that it was replaced at no cost to you. Not all plastic is cheap.

The interior really is top notch on this car in many respects.

But coming from an older model, no doubt there are quite a few "questionable" changes in the plastics, to put it very nicely and fairly to the W212.

A little O/T, but some interior changes in feel that I've noticed (that I wasn't aware of before I bought the car), is that A- The seats and headrests have quite a bit more "give", i.e flimsier? Or they meant to do this?

And B- the door handle is a lot lighter to pull, and a bit thinner than the more substantial feel of the chrome handle in my 211.

Also, I gotta say, the plastic seat buttons do have a different feel as well, the 211's had a bit of a crisper "click" feel when you pressed them, wheres the 212's has a bit more of a softer more "rubbery" transition when you push and pull it..... I dunno which is "better", but I do feel like the head part could be prone to being pulled off easier for whatever reason.

You know what the whole thing is, its not really much about the plastic itself, its how they made the head adjuster, the plastic clip that it its connected to is wayyy too thin and its obvious how easily that can snap off by the way u press the button up and down. If they would have made that peice a little bit more thicker, i dont beleive i woulda had this problem

Yeah, I too have been using the word "plastic" to describe the construction of the clip. The physical plastic feels like good quality with the door adjusters, it indeed is the clip that actually moves it which feels too flimsy, and breakable.
