How's it going man ? Long time since we argued 211/212.. Are you close to picking up the F10 or have you changed your mind like I always thought you would and stick with the Vault like Mercedes..

I was wondering where you were, the 212 Boards have been boring without the old flame-fests of passionate car enthusiasm. 
I haven't checked out the F10 yet (not avail around here), and am planning to, but I'm not gonna lie, I am just an "M-B" guy inside, this isn't really concerning new cars, as much as it is historically. Hard for me to get excited about a Bimmer, after the Bangle gens mangled them. If it blows me away, I'll definitely consider though. I'll always give them the objective credit I think they deserve though, if that is the case.
However, I'm looking to move on from my E350, love the 211, but if I'm gonna keep and pamper one, I think it's gotta be an AMG. Weighing some options, so we'll see what happens.

KA. I still think the W212 will arrive in your driveway sooner rather than later. In fact, in a recent thread I am sure I read that you are considering buying one. Can't remember which thread it was.
Like most Benz owners, there is a feeling that a Benz is just that little bit more desirable than the equivalent BMW. Can't put my finger on why that is exactly...

Wig, lol, I was trying to remember who it was that waged the "bet" that I'll have one (gentlemans bet I hope

I agree, if you've fallen for the "Star", it's one of those spells that makes it hard to really not own one, or consider a BMW, which many others might deem even superior, etc.
I'm learning this more and more. I honestly do want to stay in a Benz, and I really would like a W221, but as it happens, when comparing the price/age/warranty factor of a 221 VS a newer E-Class, you start thinking. Plus, that siize sure has its pro's and cons.
I won't lie, it is considered. I'll say in the M-B fam, it's between a W211 E63, S550, or new E350, all have their pros and cons, and it's a brain VS heart decision in some ways.
We'll see.... Like I've said before, aside from some interior bits that are hard for me to completely get over, and the rear end, I can get myself on board with a 212, for the sake of my love of M-B, along with appreciating the many great things about it. Right now my biggest issue with it would have to be, I kind of want to own something that's a little "rare", per-se (not truly, but more-so than what E-Classes are in SoCal), but with that comes other issues (a car is "rare" for a reason, etc.).
