2010 E550 4M Arctic White, P2, Pano, Park, Sport, Drive Dynamic, Trunk Spoiler, Rear Deck Spoiler
I had my E550 Sedan installed with Huper Optik. Amazing film!!!!!! looks different everytime you look at it depending on the sunlight and the time of the day. the first day i had it tinted and looked at it in the night, i thought the guy didnt even tint it!! but in the morning with sun , it gace out a very nice metallic/chrome shade. this tint looks really good on black or if your car is any other color and if it has the chrome around the door handles and all.
Was a little bit pricier than the next best like by a hundred or so dollars, but whoever i spoke to said its the best in the world!!
good luck

I'm getting Arctic White E350 Bluetec and live in Texas so anything to reduce the heat during the summer would be nice. Does that lighter shade (Ceramic 60) still do a good job for a car sitting out in 100+ Texas heat? Am thinking about that Viper remote start as an option to cool the car down too with the iPhone app.

Ceramic 60 works OK for SoCal weather (since usually at most is 90-something here... and that CA laws restrict dark tint on the front windows and allows no tint on the windshield). Personally, for TX heat, I'd recommend a darker tint... at least Ceramic 40 if not darker (just make sure you can see at night). You may also want to consider tinting your sunroof (even though it already looks tinted) as well as your windshield (if your state allows that).
Tint, as with all passive cooling devices, will slow your car's interior from heating up... but nothing will stop it. If you park your car outside long enough under the hot 100+ degree sun, eventually the interior of the car will get hot. The difference is that with quality tint with excellent heat rejection properties (like Huper Optik), it will take significantly longer to get "hot" inside your car than with low quality tint (like global or "limo" tint) that tends to block more visible light than heat/IR. Quality tint also may also possibly lower the "equilibrium" temperature inside of your car vs. outside (if it restricts/slows enough heat/IR from coming into your vehicle).
If you go to Huper Optik's website, you can see the different properties for each level of tint (including heat and IR rejection). The darker the Huper Optik tint is, the more heat/IR rejection properties it has.
