Addictive they are man. I spent WAAAAY too much on the S2000 I had before this car. I've learned my lesson haha.

Appreciate the feedback...have you seen one? I have a tendancy to over do things...maybe simpler is better. Getting a price right now on the punch - through for the trunk (by a very reputable good custom house). My hockey sticks are crushing my groove banging around in the back seat.

I mean it's your car, so do as you please, but if you are fielding opinions, I think the trunk spoiler is perfect. The roof one seems, I don't know, weird/pointless/etc.? You want to really set this car off? Look at wheels/suspension. Downside is that you'll be giving up comfort for that reduced wheel gap, but man, a properly lowered car is sooooo nice looking. Not as affordable as a roof spoiler, but you'll love how the car looks.

Indeed you only live once, far too often it takes the loss of a loved one to realize that. As long as you aren't making things more difficult for yourself or those close to you, mod to your heart's content!

I agree 100%. The roof spoiler only looks good on black E's or E's without the Pano roof. The really look out of place on a white E with Pano roof.

Porsche Macan S SportDesign / Ex M-B's: 11 & 10 & 06 E350's, 02 S500
I wanted to post this here.

Today, at the Dealer, I decided to check out some W212's.

And I KNEW that I wasn't tripping about the difference between our aftermarket spoilers, and the OEM ones.

I always thought the OEM wing looked very "square", and bland, like a flat piece with no real design-molding that just pops outward.

It does stick out a tad further than ours, but ours is so much nicer. It has an elegant curve upwards (seems to curve up higher), and has an extra shadow-line toward the top. As well, ours has the cool and elegant "half circle" indentation that goes right above the Star emblem (fittingly), while the OEM piece is just straight across with no indent or shaping. And to go even further, I don't think I remember it having that angular "boomerang" type of shape/point that our aftermarket one does.

So either this company either out-designed M-B on a wing for the W212, or it's a copy of another form of wing?

The OEM is tested for suitability and performance in a wind tunnel not just appearance. Your wing is strictly aesthetic. It may work well or it may cause a vibration at high speed. OEM offers a little more certainty at double the price.

Although most likely true, I seriously doubt I'll have to worry about it with my 350 heheh. Maybe you 550 and AMG owners are concerned with that

Agreed. I think even the OEM spoiler is strictly a cosmetic thing. Both the OEM and After Market one that most of us bought from Gnarly are applied with adhesive. No shake, rattle or roll on mine. Rock solid.

Yeah, hopefully it doesn't cause much drag (unnoticed either way), but I drive calmly anyway.

I wonder if ours is a replica of the E63 wing? Do those have the half-circle indentations above the Star? It DEFINITELY isn't a copy of the OEM wing, if it were, it'd be a horrible attempt at copying.... Which is fine, as it looks a lot better IMO. Lol.

Hi guys, I'm getting ready to jump in with a rear deck/trunk spoiler from Gnarly, other than what has been posted has any problems materialized?

I was extremely happy with my purchase...in fact I am getting ready to add the roof spoiler now that I have gone a little more extreme with the addition of the new grill.

Thanks and did you get the grill and badge used on the E coupe, or aftermarket?

This is a dealer picture of my car that I picked up earlier. I don't like my roof spoiler because I have the panorama roof and entire roof is black so the roof spoiler breaks up the black line. The previous owner had the car tinted so it looks worse. Here is a pic.

Congrats! Yeah, the roof spoiler is a big no no on a non-black car with a Pano roof. Spoils the Pano look from the back completely. You can probably sell that bad boy very quickly as well.

Less is very much more in many cases!

Thanks for posting. I have no pano, so I am still considering. Good luck with the car.

I just ordered my rear spoiler from gnarlycarparts.com for my Artic white e350 sedan. I received it today. For those that have white did you notice the color was not exact? Is it just mine? I order code 650 but it seems slightly off to me. I have not seen it in the sun yet. Does it adjust after a while?

I noticed that, and it's normal, and you'll get used to it or it should adjust after a while. Since they can't match it to your exact car it's a bit difficult to get it exact, and it's also a different material, so hues can vary slightly.
