Hi all...anyone get their 2011 VIN yet for their W212? just curious if you noticed the production number in particular.

have a year code of B (10th digit) (meaning 2011) Check.

But my 6 digit production number is 276xxx. I expected that the production number would have been in the low digits since we are getting one of the first produced (going to germany for European Delivery).

if others with early W212 MY11 have production numbers that are similar, great. if not, then i will have to wonder whats up.

Are you assuming the serial number would start from zero for the first 2011 (US) MY car? This is not the case. 276xxx sounds OK to me.

yes...that is what I assumed. guess that is not a correct assumption? if that is the case, how does MB assign serial numbers?
