Having ordered a 2011 E350, I am curious whether it will have the new 306hp engine. I read that the engine will first debut on S & CL so they may not have it on the E until model year 2012 or perhaps somewhere in the middle of my2011.

Just curious if anyone has some info. Dont mind waiting a few months for the new more powerful & more fuel efficient engine...

Not gonna happen on the 2011 models. So those of use who wanted/needed the car and didn't wanna wait 1-2 years to get into it, will be assed out come the 2012 MY, when they will get the newer motors apparently.

Oh well, the 38 extra HP would be nice, but I don't really use what I have on tap as it is anyway. Does suck that the new more high powered D/I will also give better MPG's as well though.

I don't recall MB announcing a new 6 for their lineup. Also, I highly doubt we'll be seeing any 6 cylinder engines here stateside on an S or CL class.

Where can I read about this new engine?
