I cannot get my new I-phone 4 to connect via bluetooth in my 350. My old I-Phone 3 synced up like a charm. Anybody else have this problem or a work-around? Thanks.

Do search on the forum. People seem discovered the problem and Apple will take care of it shortly.

Does the car not see the phone ? If yes you should switch the roles of the devices around. You need the phone to search for the car. MB calls this External Authorization and you can enable it under the "Options" menu. Here's a short video:

I did not have an issue syncing up my iphone4...

I was able to sync by external and the standard method...

ditto i7iceguy. I had no problem either with my iphone 4. Coming straight from iphone 3gs which I also had sync'd to the car.

There are problems with some Apple products working in the MB. I bought a new Ipod Nano for my 2011 E350. The media interface works well but the charging function does not. The old Ipod works well in both W212s. Dealership tried new cable designed for 3rd generation Ipod, no luck. This is a 5th generation product.
I then contacted Apple and spoke to a supervisor on the technical support line. He says it is not their problem and that the car companies must adapt intergration with their product not vice versa. The problem also applies to Audi and BMW supposedly. The dealership advises me that MB is looking into it. When I called MB for someone in technical support they said talk to your dealer.
Now does this sound like something that will be resolved quickly.

Thanks. When your MB asked to enter an authorization number on the car AND phone how did you enter it into the phone. Was there a default number that you can just enter into the car?

both my phone and 3g ipod with new softwear sink up great with the e550.
The Ford truck won't halfway recognize my iPod never and now. ford dealer said it was a problem between Microsoft and apple and apple said the sameso I downloaded all my songs to a flash drive and at least I can play them, but no other function like artist, album commands.

I would give up trying to get my Apple products getting to work on the Ford. Ford decided to pair up with Microsoft and their excellent Sync headunits. They'd rather have you listen to a Zune than an iPod

The iPhone 4 synced up great. It also streams audio via bluetooth (all SOUNDS from the phone, Music, Video, Games, Apps like Pandora and even streaming podcasts from the web). I am quite impressed !!

The best part...the Hideous ringing sound went away and now when I receive calls, I hear that nice iPhone "Marimba" Ring Tone when people call

can someone tell me how to toggle between my iphone and wifes iphone thru bluetooth? Both will connect independently when alone, but when together I would like ability to select which one is active.
have searched but can't find answer and it's not intuitive in comand to me...

Going by memory so might be a bit off on the location but it's PHONE (on top) then PHONE bottom left then BLUETOOTH PHONES. You should then see a list of linked phones to choose from.
