Replacement Side Markers
I just replaced my orange side markers with Clear ones I got off eBay.
Drastic improvement IMO...
I would recommend using the bulbs that originally came with the car (do not switch them out with the new bulbs that come with the clear markers). The bulbs the vendor provides have an orange hue. If you stay with the original bulbs they look great (clear and bright...no orange). Follow the previously posted instructions from "doctordel"...pretty easy. When you pop the lens out, just be carefull to realign the backing plastic plate to reattach the new lens. Pretty self explanatory once you do it...but it is the most difficult part of the job because you have to do it kind of blind. Good luck.

1) turn the steering wheel to the opposite side your are working on
2) pull the front fender liner from the fender with a good yank; make sure you don't lose the fastener that pops out
3) turn the bulb socket counterclockwise and pull the bulb and socket out from the inside of the lens
4) use your fingers to pull out on the rearmost side of the lens and-once it is free from the fender-pull backwards towards the rear of the car to free the front of the lens from the bracket inside the fender
5) reverse the process with new lens and then reinstall the plastic fastener that popped out

My problem is that I don't think either clear or smoked lenses would look good on Palladium Silver. I think painted might be the only way to go. Still looking for a pic of clear side markers on Palladium Silver...
The reason they send the new bulbs is because it is illegal to not have orange side markers, if a cop wants to get really picky.
Looks good. I am having a hell of a time deciding between clear, smoked, or body color. I am really leaning toward body color.

Good to know. Thanks. If you paint your side markers aren't you completely negating there effectiveness then?

I think my clear markers will pass no problem...if it's an issue I'll take 2 minutes and pop the orange bulbs back in. Thanks.

They have chrome plated bulbs that will blink orange and you can get rid of the "egg yolk" look at the same time. You could also try V-leds, I have tried them and love them as well. Here is a link..
