your thoughts....on a rim
Hello MB heads,
I'm preparing for the arrival......
and wanted some opinions on these rims........
planning on sticking with the size of 18 that will be on my car....
A. http://www.mandruswheels.com/millennium.php#
or
B. http://www.petrolwheels.com/petrol_wheels_configurator/
select seville on far right
any thoughts, on or off topic are welcome..................
thanx and may the car gods smile upon us all

I like option A. But those wheels with lips look better with less rubber around them.
Why don't you consider getting them in 19"s?
You wouldn't have to compromise that much in ride comfort.

I don't like the Seville much. All those spokes always remind me of the 7 series a few years back. The Mandrus also don't do much for me.
I feel like the new E class should have bolder spokes.

hmmmm
I was trying to stay with 18's for ride comfort. I'm pretty sensitive to the road already......you're saying 19's would look better and not feel THAT much different? I could probably try both at the dealer; another good reason to go back and waste more of their gas, LOL......but I guess it would help me to decide, wonder if I'd be able to notice..........
and would getting 19's mean having to mod the rotors, pads, calipers etc.... it is a pretty heavy car...
thanx.....

yes
yes, bolder spokes would be better.....to hide the rotor that ALWAYS get rusty and discolored.....

I would personally choose "B" but you can't go wrong with either. Don't go with the 19's as you will pay thru the nose for tires. Very hard to find 19" tires at a resonable price. JMO

Tough choice!! I still think the top one is more elegant and would go better with his black/black E550. I like the second one a lot too, its just a lil bling bling with the chrome rivets.

good point... i'm not a fan of the rivets either! i saw the pic on their website in silver and the shape of the rim was nice, but in black the rivets stand out too much...

I was having a problem with url posting or something like that.....I'll need to figure it out though when my car arrives...........

Good choice with the Mannheim...I almost bought them a month ago, but I went with the Regenmeister and had the 5 spokes painted black. I'll shoot out a pick later. They look nice, but think the Mannheim's may have been better. I had the center cap painted black with a chrome mercedes emblem...

Nothing better than those wheels... Ahhh I think I'm having an orgasm just looking at this setup!!! The sad part... Those wheels cost around 6-7K alone!!
