Would like your input on grills
I bought as chrome grill and was planning on painting the mess black, but I stumbled across this (on this other MB) and wanted to get some input, what do you guys think of this grill.

I don't like the star grilles on the Luxo Sedans personally, but if I was gonna go with one, that would be it.
Whatever is on that W220 is hideous though.
The first pic, is that for a W212?
What really ruins the star grille on the W212's/W211's/Etc. is that they keep that huge chrome border around it, that is designed to be used with the Luxo fins. It just becomes too much IMO.
The pic you posted shows a much closer to OEM style M-B Star-Grille look, as it doesn't have any border (or a thin black one, which is a good design trick to eliminate the effect), and has the floating slats.

KA yes the grill I am looking at is the one on the top which is border-less. I included the w220 just to show what a black grill might look like on a black car.

Seems like it should look pretty damn clean.
I checked on their Website though, and I couldn't find that exact style of grille in your first pic on the W212 for some reason though.
The two I saw they had for the W212 still had the big chrome borders.
