TPMS from one wheel to another?
Also, once you get the correct tire pressures in the tires, you can make them the 'correct' settings in the computer by just selecting to make the pressures you have the reference pressures, correct? I ask because pressures in 18" wheels is going to be different than 17" wheels and don't want to have warnings all the time because the sensors from the TPMS sensors are set to a certain reference pressure range that can't be changed. Thanks!

My ride to be 17" wheels but I would like to change the wheels to 16" which is unusual because mostly owners have an incline of getting bigger wheels . I am attaching an exact image of what I am considering of buying. It looks beautiful
A friend of mine said I should keep OEM wheels because if I go for a replacement I would see a TPMS error message every couple of hundreds miles so I will have to reset the message .
He said he drove W204 C and he picked up that tpms message because of using different size 17 AMG wheels . Funny thing he didn't mention about adjusting the system to the tire pressure you are getting .
So, in a nutsheel, do you think if I trade my 17"s for 16"s and reset the system to 16" tire pressure and inflate the tire 16"s let's say 34 psi all around , system will be OK and not throw fault messages ?
Thanks
The "E" came with the AMG wheel package. I did not like the dull gray color of the wheels, so I did a core swap with California Chrome Wheel and put the same AMG wheel on the car, but chromed. Once again, all I did was swap the sensors from the dull wheels to the chrome wheels. No problems. I have also changed the wheels twice on my Corvette and simply swapped the sensors, no problems.
