Does anyone know what type of material the new brake pads are made out of on the 2011 E350's? No more black brake dust on wheels.

A semi-metallic compound is the material for the new MB brake pads. However, certain top notch models carry ceramic pads. And thus the brake dust problem seems to be history.

I too cannot stop about how amazing this no-brake due aspect of the W212 is. My W211 too had putrid brake dust.
So it's the brake pads of course, however, the question is, when we'd have to replace the brakes on our car, is there a certain type of pad we should look out for, in keeping with this no-dust effect (I'd want the identical pads)? Or would it just be known simply as the OEM 2010+ E-Class brake pads?
