How are your windshield wipers working?

Let me apologize in advance as I don't have access to RTF manual right now....how are you auto windshield wipers working? I know there are four settings - off, auto 1 (a couple of dots), auto 2 (more dots), low manual setting, and high manual setting. What is the difference between the two auto modes and are you finding that the auto mode actually works or are you finding they come on too soon, too late, are going too slow, too fast, etc. etc. and just end up putting the wipers on manual mode. Thanks!!

I only use the Auto 1 and I find that they wipe too much in light rain but at other levels of rain they are perfect. I am not sure what you mean by the headlight?!? Do you mean if they automatically come on when its raining? If so yes they come on but I have never noticed how soon they come on.

Sorry. Corrected a typo in my OP - the questions are only about windshield wipers.

I've been pretty happy with auto 1, auto 2 is too sensitive for my taste. There are times when I shut them off and just activate them for a swipe or two as necessary though if it's just drizzle.

I think that the wipers are telepathically good.
I am totally impressed with them.

The difference between the two auto modes is the sensitivity that triggers the wipers to wipe. The first setting (less sensitive) is meant for slower/city driving. The second setting (more sensitive) is meant for faster/highway driving. Both the auto modes take your current vehicle speed into consideration also (the faster you drive the more frequent the wipes). Also, if you have the wipers in one of the Auto modes and put the car into Park they will not wipe. As soon as you put the car into D or R the wipers will come alive.

Here is a link to the electronic manual so you don't have to keep running back to the paper one:
