Quote: Iridium silver mercs are rare in the States? They are like a dime a dozen over here in the UK. Iridium silver mercs are more common than black ones. There are 4 mercs on my street, An A class, a C class, my E class and an ML. Guess what? They are all silver.
I live in Canada and the most popular colors for Mercedes in Calgary are 1. Paladium Silver, 2. Black or White, 3. Steel Grey. Once in while, do you see a silver Mercedes. Even red is more popular than silver, especially for the C-class and GLK.

Off topic but I have found the discussion/distinction between the various shades of grey for car exterior rather amusing. They are just grey to me and probably to most other people as well.

Personally I am regretful of the black I chose due to its difficult upkeep. I do find the Merc color options overly conservative and limiting. If I'd known better I'd chosen a special order of the burgundy.
