That must be super bright. Good upgrade for a P1 car especially, although I think 6K is too blue for my tastes.

Now all you gotta do is get the projector "crystal" inner parking lights that the P2 cars have, to complete the look.

6000k looks a bit blue in the pics, but is white in person. In my sig pic all my lights are 6000k but you see they look blue. Mine actually have a hint of purple in person.

Yeah, I think that's why I'm not into 6000K. When they get blue enough that the hint becomes "purple", it doesn't look as crisp and class (and OEM) IMO. I think 5000K is the perfect color to me.

The 6000k are not blue at all they are bright white. 8000k is blue. I just ordered drl non error leds to match the low beams and the L shaped drls and lics plate lights. Also Today i got 20% tint all around and black out my sidemarkes with film looks great. The kit installed he will do for $300 very clean install no errors no problems. I left my high beams alone i live in ny i never put them on so no point of puting a kit in them. The tint looks great with the pano roof and the dark beige leather pack interior. If your not in Ny il ask if he can ship them to you guys you get what you payfor i had the cheaper chinese kits on my w211 and they were terrible always had problems.

no, no need. dude, you must be concered of the issue of 55w melting housing, right??? sometimes, 55w HID installed in some other car models, the bulbs or housings are melted after sometime driving for long time...just get a relay harness installed to prevent ballast overload due to high temperature, power spike, and irregular voltage.

The relay harness are also to not get errors on the dash because if you did not have them installed with them you would. Some people still just go to radio shack and buy capicitors and hard wire them in but not worth the hastle. I had the relay kit in my w211 but bought the cheeper hid's for about $60 and the bulbs wouldn't last to long. So the kit i got for my w212 had everything built in so no relay harness needed a little more money but way worth it in long run.

it depends on your car models and which hid color do you want ?????

you need to get the right HID kit fitting to stock bulbs by checking this diagram http://www.vvme.com/page.html?chapter=4&id=36 ....
otherwise, bulbs will flicker cuz of the incompatibility to stock bulbs..

43k,5k and 6k are most popular hid colors for most car headlights.. if you want pure white brightness, 43k is good choice and if you want a little slight blue tint white color,6k is the point....3k (yellow color) is proper to fog lights.... you can check the hid color chart to compare and choose hid bulb colors...
3000k yellow
4300K Extreme White 3100 lumens
6000K Diamond White 2900 lumens
8000K Iceberg Blue 2500 lumens
10000K Brilliant Blue 2300 lumens
12000K Purple 2100 lumens
15000k pink

as for 35w HID kits, it is better for you go to VVME.com ... not expensive but good quality... if you prefer 55w HID, maybe u can go to ddm....but i dont think it is a wise idea to take 55w hids for your first time to HID....35w HIDs are enough to satisfy your request for bright lights....

Actually, based on that chart, I'm seeing 4300K as the most eye-pleasing, and best actual "lighting" hue. It seems to be the closest to daylight compared to all those others. 5000K looks pretty good, but lacks some of the warmth, and 8000K just seems ridiculously colored, and clearly counterproductive. It'd be nice to see a better distance from all though, to get a more realistic representation.

good analysis of HID colors.... anyhow, different HID brands, the light output and color are different from each other even though labeled with same color temperature "K"......just as showed in this post

2010 E350 4MATIC
w212 Headlight Spec

I see this thread is a lil old. but I recently purchased a used 2010 E350 4MATIC P1 option.. after reading this forum and doing a lot of research.. I've read most of the Owners Manual for the w212. in the end of the manual, it states the halogen bubs are H7 55w. also the bi-xenon are also 55w.. I just purchased a set of H7 55W HID kits from ebay. waiting for them to arrive but 90% of me believes this will work without any error codes popping up.. since our stock bulbs are 55w, and some ppl here buy 35w kits..

I will update this once i've installed my kit. Kit should be here by this Sat. and i'll do it sunday or durring the week at work..

This is my new Canvas.. She's one fine machine..

welcome aboard ! i really hope the kit is going to work but doesn't look like it as it didn't say "error free". if that's the case, you'll probably see some error codes. also, some members have stated 55w is brighter but is way too hot and will burn the housings . i ain't no expert on this. phml can probably give you better answers. at least you bought the right size .
