The new 5000K lights going into production in December......from "Finally" thread
I know there is the thread titled "finally" on this but I am a bit confused.

Does this mean they are only switching to a 5000K light bulb or is it an entirely new lighting system that they are installing?
They sure are claiming a HUGE advancement in this press release as f it is just a brighter light bulb, I think I missed the big news part.

Just the bulb. Otherwise it would not be retrofittable (reasonably so at least) as they mention to other cars which have BiX lights. It is a very impressive upgrade and they are apparently the very first to have it.

Great thank you. I do not undertsand this very much but am glad to hear it will not be hard to retro fit and actually is a nice achievement.
