Talking VÄTH

Hello heads:

With all the grills going around I wanted to find one too.
Read about a company named Vath, here on the home page:

I'm working on ordering a grill and rear diffuser, cost 2.670,00
euros.....that includes shipping from Germany......

should be sweet

just wanted to share

Do you have a pic of what a rear carbon diffuser looks like? That grille looks too much like the OEM grille that comes with the luxury E's just without the middle vertical line. I am not sure if it is worth $2700. Post pics when you get it done. Definitely intrigued as to how this will turn out.

Indeed price seems way to steep for those 2 parts $3,625 total! The Grille $1,080 simply OUTRAGEOUS and its not that much of a difference! Hyperion lay off that pipe ... I'm sure you could find a better grille for 1/4 that price!

thanx for the pic Sal, yeah it is steep....
but what I can't understand is folks putting these 150 dollar grills and stuff on their
cars that are worth 65 and up! I mean, it's fine and dandy for everyone to do what they like, but in my mind a car of such costs should have good accessories.....well, better accessories than most of whats seen......

I thought there might be some flack about the price.....but instead of everyone wondering what they cost, I figured I'd just post the quote I got.......
sure it's steep.......but so is life......

I'll share my pix when the job is done.....
thanx for the replies...

oh....and I like the pipe...........lol

I'd also consider getting some kind of muscle hood...
the 2010 c63 hood is nice.......
some subtle hood accents would be good.....scoops or dips or something

lol... It's not the price tag my friend, if the quality is good like OEM then I see no problem getting them. Some vendors get a huge volume and offer them for a discounted rate. If you got your heart set on it then go for it! Like FTB said life is too short, enjoy it while it lasts! I like the pipe too but not mix it with $$$ lol

LOL. Napa oil filter is made by Mann and rebadged as NAPA and MB oil filter is made by MANN. Part number HU7185X. So yes I would put a Napa oil filter on my benz. Actually it is in my Benz as we speak.

Anyone who isn't jumping to serve you in selling parts that probably cost $50 to make for almost $3K doesn't deserve your business!

I agree that spending that much on a grille is INSANE, yet I also agree that putting parts that may be cheaply made, and poorly fitted, is equally ridiculous, especially on a nice car.

Issue with Vath is, you don't have any solid proof of superior quality, until you take the plunge, and install it. That's an expensive paperweight if it doesn't come out right.

Also, the way I see it is the quality and/or fit can't really be better than OEM, so IMO painting the stocker would be way cheaper, and at worst, equal in quality. The Vath will have a very subtle uniqueness. If your heart is set on it, then more power to you though, and enjoy a rare product!

a little bit off the topic:

Firstly, the engine has been tweaked with a latest software, boosting the power output of the VATH Mercedes E 350 CDI to 267 HP and 595 Nm of torque. This advancement will have a price tag of around EUR1,179.
This can't be right. the '11 E 350 CDI has 265hp and 620Nm stock, at least here in the Czech republic. Maybe they based it on the 2010 model or the E 300 CDI?

Used to be the same here, but they changed that to a 300 CDI and made a new engine for the 350 CDI.

How about investing the $4k in a money market or something. You can't see the grille from behind the wheel anyway!

hehe, yeah, they're better than most/any cd now.....if you can leave the money parked there long enough......
the modder I'm working with mentioned painting the grill, so I'll hear that out
and weigh my options......it will NO doubt be cheaper than 870 euros!!
(200 for painting it, lol)
I'm disappointed to give up on it, but it just really seems like it's going to be a pain in the **** and REALLY expensive.....over 4K us dollars just to get the crap here, then who knows how much else to get it on correctly, not to mention if it even fits....(K-A mentioned that too).....
seems like a dumb idea.....if there were some stuff here in the states.......it'd be tons easier....
