How many batteries in E350?
I am going to store my 2010 E350 for 48 days and I am worried about drain in battery. SO I will unplug the wires from battery. By the way how many batteries in E350? If just one in engine compartment, then I can just unplug that. If there is another one in the back, then I need help how to reach it or disconnet it. Does anybody know?
Thank you in advance.
Thank you in advance.

I would not even think about disconnecting the battery. It may mess up with several systems in the car and you might need a "reset" trip to the dealer after reconnecting? Or is MB somehow different than Audi for example?
I dont't think battery will drain in 48 days but if I did I would get another battery and connect it parallell with the car's battery. Two batteries for sure will not drain in 48 days.
And it does not need to be a MB battery for this purpose...

48 days should present no problem at all. I would just park the car and walk away. Have had mine idle for longer periods then that with no issue.

there are some other threads on this site with guys talking about losing charge after 2 or 3 weeks... I definitely wouldn't assume it will go 48 days. I think many years ago that would have been the case but with all the electronics on these things that stay in a standby or passive mode while the car is off you lose charge (alarm, keyless go, airmatic, among others). Per my earlier post - I think a trickle charger should be the easiest, cheapest and safest way to assure she fires up when you get back.

Unlike the older MB models, the system goes to sleep and does not drain the battery. If for some reason it loses it's charge, roadside assistance will come to the rescue at no charge.

I had mine parked in my garage for 4 months, and started up like it was driven the day before. Its a brand new car, brand new battery. I would only worry about removing the battery when the car/battery is 5yrs+ old.

If the battery is 5 years old it should be replaced. I change mine every 4.5 to 5 years and being proactive has allowed me to operate without any concerns about starting, etc and being stuck somewhere I do not want to be.

Thank you for all replies
From all of your advise,
I will just leave it in the storage and go. I was going to leave in the driveway, but here in NY, we have bunch of snow, and I don't want to leave the car outside for 48 days. So we decided to put it in the public storage. The problem with charger is that there is no power outlet in that storage.
Anyway I will write a post after I come back.
Thank you all.
