Feedbacks from any 2011 E350 BlueTec please..
Can any one who has taken delivery of this model please post your views of your experience with it so far>
I would like to know the driving range you can get per tank under real world driving conditions.
I've test driven it twice and am quite impress with it's performance and the built quality.
I've also test driven the new BMW 535xi and am very impressed with it. IMO the new Nav in the 5er is far superior to that of the M-B as it lets you in put the complete address in one command instead of entering the City/Address/House# separately like in the M-B and my current 335d. If the 535D were available I would likely go with it for the better Nav + auto folding mirrors as well as the Heads-Up-Display + Driving Dynamic Control.
Also the lack of motorized folding side mirrors is a real pity for a vehicle of this class. Even my 335d has this feature which I find very important for my use as my garage has a center column and I often fold down the mirror when I reverse in to avoid hitting the column. I also do this when I drive through for banking or ordering coffee. M-B should make this feature available as on option.
I am currently driving the 2010 BMW 335d and am very happy with it's 265 HP + 425 Lb-Ft torque. Despite it's power the 335d consistently gives me 33+ MPG or 7 L/100KM (I'm from Canada).
But the smaller tank (60 litres) yields a driving range of 800 KM for 57 litres when I refuel.
The M-B CA claims that the E350BT can get 1,100 KM per tank (80 litres) combined driving. That would suit me fine as I typically drive between 200~250 KM per day.
If there are any Canadian owners of the E350BT I would like to know if you are able to get a better price than the MSRP.
I just checked on the Canadian M-B website and the Build your BlueTec page lists the following options as FREE: Leather seats + 18" AMG Alloy wheels.

I've just email my CA to clarify if those items are indeed no charge.
Any feed back from lucky owners of the 2011 E350BT would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
