Steering Wheel

Hi Guys,
When I got my E350 2010, the steering wheel was going up and down when getting into or leaving the car. This doesn't happen now. I'm not sure what happened. Any idea as why is not working and how to fix it? Thanks

Is there a way to get the seat back and forth when exiting? Lexus has that feature...

Steering wheel has very limited movement and if it is already adjusted to near highest position, then nothing happens. The feature is still in W212 model however noticeable only if you adjusted wheel in lower position. I rate Lexus for the feature which makes steering wheel going up much higher and moves seat all way back, very convenient if you are pregnant.

One way to help this, little clomsy though is to set one of your saved seat positions so that it only moves the steering wheel all the way forward. Of course this is not very practical as you would need to first hold that, say button 3, so that the wheel moves before you turn car OFF and open the door. Then again, when you start wheel comes down but you would need to hold that, say button 1, that is your normal driving position for the seat to move wheel back where you normally have it.

Not very practical but might bring temporary help for someone who is pregnant, for example.
