I really like the sport grill and flat emblem on my C300 sport combined with the 4Matic. The E350 sport comes with 4Matic but not with sport grill/flat emblem. The CLS comes with sport grill/flat emblem but not with 4Matic. Any chance either the E or CLS will come with sport grill/flat emblem and 4Matic at some point?

Nope, very doubtful. M-B builds the grille spaces/shapes to a proportion to look proper with either grille style.

Luxury grilles are of a stately-er shape, taller, different "smile" shape, etc. Sport grilles are usually narrower, and sometimes wider (although the 212's grille is very wide itself).

Case in point: The W204 C-Class was clearly designed for the Sport grille, as it looks pretty terrible, and awkward with the Luxury grille (proportions are too small for a Luxury grille).

However, there are lots of Aftermarket venders who supply Sport style grilles, and flat badges for the W212, and some Members here have gotten them, and if you run a Search, you'll find lots of help on the subject.

1. You can always add aftermarket "sport" grill and a stock flat emblem on E.

2. CLS will have 4matic for the first time when next generation cars (2012) will hit US next spring/summer. Probably, they'll be initially delayed until fall.

Remember, CLSs are basically Es with less interior room, but substantially upgraded interior materials and looks (on par with S IMO). It also looks sportier outside, but carries $10-15K premium. Well deserved though, IMHO.

Thanks for the info and recommendation. I like keeping my cars stock, so maybe the next generation CLS could be interesting for me.

I got a flat emblem on ebay that fits flush on the E Class sedan (W212). The dealer put a plastic emblem that it was bigger than the hole on the hood. This one fits great.

As for the sport grille, i think doesn't look to good.
