Saw the E Coupe convertible in Diamond White at the dealer when I picked up my car, it is very nice/elegant, perfect wife's car.

They had an E550 E-Coupe hardtop in D.W sitting on the showroom when I bought my car. The salesman was trying to push me into it, but I was't really considering it since I was/am partial to the Sedans exterior and definitely interior.
Even though I'm positive that I'm happier with my choice now, in retrospect, it wouldn't have hurt to see just how motivated the Salesman was to get rid of that car.

W212 E500, W164 320CDI, W116 450SEL 6.9, W116 450 SEL.
The coupe and the convertible are smaller cars and although they look fantastic and probably drive like a smaller car with a bit more élan they are not proper E classes but expensive and glamorous C classes.
It will be interesting to see if history treats them as E class coupes or CLK's.
They are also manufactured in another plant in Bremen rather than Sindelfingen.
Just my ha'penny worth from an old Mercedes owner and snob who has owned Benzes since 1973.
For what it's worth IMHO I think the 19's look fabulous but I wouldn't compromise the magnificent ride vs handling compromise of my E500 for the looks.

Yeah, that was the biggest dealbreaker. I'm not paying E money for a glorified C-Class with 2-doors, and E styling gimmicks. And the interior is terrible, compared to the real E (seats aside).
I didn't know it's not even manufactured in Sindelfingen, which is lame!

FWIW my 19s so far have been incredible. If anything, the car feels better, grips without chattering or "tacking" at parking lot speeds, and so far, no pothole incidents have rattled my fillings loose yet.

Here are the updated photos with the H&R springs installed and pretty well settled. The pictures don't look as bad as what I see when I look at it from a distance. I see a lowered teenager car instead of an nice sporty sedan. I think if the front were a tad higher I would be ok with it. Eibach's in the front would bring it up about a 1/2 an inch and possibly make it perfect in my eyes. The design of the car already rakes toward the front, so any lower than the rear and this what I get, which is not appealing to me. Any comments would be great!

Piper, where are you located? Meaning what city? I personally love those Sclass wheels that you test fit. I just put on 20s, aftermarket Concept One which fit perfectly and looks great. I was worried about 20s being too big and changing the ride too much, but actually the 20s are just about the perfect proportion and the ride has not changed at all.
From my perspective, I chose a deeper dish wheel on the rear and I have noticed when the wheel has a lip versus more flush, the wheel appears smaller by comparison. I had a 2008 C350 and put on the standard S-class 19s and being flush faced, it looked great and appeared larger which was what I was after.
Now that I see your 20 AMGs and EMs 19 AMGs, makes me wish I would have looked at more AMG options. I like what I have, but I got antsy and seems everyone is still trying to figure out what offsets will work or wont work. Good thing is so far, apparently the W212 covers a wide range of offsets.

I am now considering installing the most current S63 star in standard silver paint. At least I know the S class +43 works on the W212 vs. most of the vendors just guessing. I think the paint vs. chrome will tone down the size and be a nice clean, large look.

Here are the MUCH overdue pix of the rim setup I described in https://mbworld.org/forums/4434874-post60.html
They tuck perfectly and do not rub, even after installing Eibach lowering springs. I don't have pix yet since the spring install, but I'll do that in another week or so.

They aren't AMG rims. They are AMG-ish.
Here's my guy's info. Super nice and extremely knowledgeable. I'm breaking his email address up to limit spam.

Been shopping a preowned 2010, but got antsy and picked this up over the weekend on a great lease deal. White/Almond/Burl Walnut, P1. I was looking for Iridium/Ash/Black Ash for a more sporty look rather than a luxurious classic, but this was available and now glad I took this one. I really like the contrast of the 3 different interior colors and think the drop & wheels will give a nice clean modded but not modded OEM look. Does that make since!
I had springs & wheels purchased before I signed on the car. H&R's go on tomorrow and hopefully the 20" AMG split spoke replicas will be here soon as well. Tint goes on Saturday and will be ordering clear side markers and rear spoiler soon. I will post the play by play as these parts go on.
