Seat Heater

Is there a way to have the seat heater to be turned on automatically as soon as you start the car?

It's almost instant after you hit the button. Your starting to sound like a spoiled Mercedes owner, lol.

You could get a remote starter from your dealer and have this automatically done for you. But do you really want to do this ? Imagine how annoying this could get in the summer

It only does it below 50 deg F. My point was GM is ahead of MB when it comes to technology.

lol! true it doesn't take long.........it's part of my routine now when I run out and start it up, to turn the seat on for myself.....
which is nice with the stiff, cold, unwelcoming seat we all have come to love, LOL.....
funny, anything but leather isn't really that cold when you sit on it, and even that stuff warms fairly quickly.....
I will admit: seeing the news with folks up in MN and other northern states.....WHOH.......pretty damn cold up there.................
good luck to you folks...........

Thank you!!

I've noticed GM putting "gadgetry" into their vehicles to appeal to the new era of car buyers, but to those that have owned GM products as long as I have know it's just as appealing as putting lipstick on a pig.

LOL.

I hate to say it, because GM Does make some damn good products, relative to what they put out before (FINALLY), but all the gadgetry in the world won't get it near the engineering and refinement put into a Benz. An '07 Tahoe is one of my favorite Trucks in its respective class, but all the seat warmers in the world won't warm up some of those chintzy plastics inside.

Have you ever sat in an Escalade? You instantly can realize why it's the quintessential "New Money" statement (aside from the obvious ). The thing costs more than an E-Class, but the interior quality, refinement, attention to detail, and tactility are below a C-Class.

For the record, Pop Culture presence aside, the Escalade is a nice Truck to me as well (for what it is).

Oh sh**, that sucks! Lol. I'd think the Tahoe's shouldn't rattle, haha.

For GM to cover a rattle, you'd probably need it to sound at a deafening rate!

GM does have some impressive technology. The Chevy Volt won the 2011 Motor Trend Car of the Year Award.

The General certainly has it's share of problems - but they have been innovative in a number of ways.

I feel like pre-70's, and maaaybe pre 80's (regarding only certain models) had GM on the top, or sharing top, of the car world. 70's/80's-mid 2000's, they built much of the worst, most selfish embarrassments around. Not to mention, safety hazards (go read NHTSA's Safety ratings for the 90's-2000's, and see how nearly ever GM Vehicle is a red flag).

Now, they're finally fighting back, with the fire burning hot under their a$$. Hey, I even bought one. I'm finding them to appeal to me in the "lower" price segments in many ways. In fact, two of my top second-cars would be either a Camaro, or on the other end of the spectrum, Tahoe.

I like my tahoe. I just wish GM would start using better materials on their interiors and have a little tighter tolerances. The tahoe is a great vehicle.
