12V power outlet run time
Does anyone know if the power outlets (the 12V plugs) have a limited time they are powered?
When the engine is off and key is in position 2, I can run accessories (like an air pump) for a minute or so plugged into one of the 12V outlets (in trunk or back seat), then it turns off. If I start the engine, it will run without interruption. I just want to know if this is normal or if I should take to the dealer to check.

Have not checked mine but I would have thought that key in position 2 means everything is 100% powered. Key in position 2 is the same as when you drive other than engine is not running. But, perhaps they made them to go OFF if engine is not running so you cannot drain the battery with some high power appliance?

Yes they have limited run time
The power outlets and stereo system have limited run-time - i.e. you are washing the car or hanging out with the stereo on - after the battery voltage drops beyond a certain point the system automatically shuts down in order to preserve your ability to start the car later.
I know this is is certain with the stereo, but I am only assuming it would hold true for the power outlets - but it makes logical sense that they would be included in this power conservation mode. Never really timed it, but stereo going for about an 30-40 min is what I think I've experienced.
