DVD while driving

Played a DVD today, however, when you place the vehicle in drive the picture cancelled sond stayed on. Does anyone know of a "fix" that would let the DVD continue to play.. Yes, I know it's a safety issue but looking at the Nav mode is just as bad..
Thanks

They make VIM kits (video in motion), i'm sure if you search "VIM" you could find something.

I know NavTV and midcity engineering makes it for my car

I bought this unit for $160.00 from a vendor in Portugal...yes Portugal! Cost me about 90.00 to get installed. I am very happy with it and it arrived in about a week or so.

Now, with that said...you have to be VERY careful if you are going to use one (not preaching here, just stating my own opinion). I use it exclusively for music / concert dvd's, not theatrical releases that can distract you. I listen to the music and will only ocassionally look down when stopped at a red light or in a traffic jam. If used properly it's a great bang for the buck...just dont get sucked into it or you are going to cause damage to your car or even worse someone else! Be very careful and disciplined if you are going to order one.

Heya BPhilly.

Does this unit also allow you to use Nav while in motion?

Thanks in advance.

Enjoy...Like I said it's a real nice addition for roughly 250 bucks installed. The Nav function is worth it alone. Just be carefull...

Hi Phillybenz. You are someone who doesn't fear doing after market mods. As someone who also appears to love music as you do, have you considered doing any mods to upgrade the underwhelming base response of the stereo? Thanks. Ned.

I am actually looking into an after market Equilizer for the entire system.
Some people have added sub's to their trunk. I think the added EQ would give you more control. As they say in my business "stand by to stand by"...I'll let you know if I come up with a viable solution...in the mean time, keep us posted on your progress.

I personally wouldn’t try it, but if you are more adventurous and confident with removing the wood trim next to the glove compartment, center AC vents and then pull the radio...go for it. It took my shop guy about an hour and a half to do (I think there was a minor wiring glitch he had to overcome). I have the written directions with a few pictures provided by the vendor. PM me and I will send them to your email...unfortunately, the file size (almost 2 mb) is just a tad too large to post here.
