I keep getting all sorts of poor information on when you can order and receive a 2012 e350. Anyone know when they go into production. TIA.

Is early July the order date or first deliveries of 2012's to the dealers?

Early July is usual start of production and delivery 5 to 8 weeks later. If you want early production you must place your order sometime in April. The dealer will not have 2012 prices so it is necessary to negotiate on a cost plus basis or a fixed percentage discount off manufacturer' s retail price.

Thanks for the clarification. Unfortunately, I need delivery by early July so it looks like I will have to make other new car plans.

Cars can be delivered in July if you get first production

If you want to know when a car will be available at the dealer you need to check the earliest date that you can pick up that model on tourist delivery.
I don't know why I didn't think about that before since I have picked up cars on tourist delivery on the first available date which was always the same date as when that model was released to the US dealers.
If that is still the policy, the first W212 2012 cars will be at the dealers at the end of July, the date when you can first pick up that model at the factory.
