2010 GLK 4matic
whats a good price?

Well we had a really bad snow storm the other night and my GLK and i decided to plow head first into a semi (dont know how i slipped so much with a 4matic). anyway, i have not got the word back of whether it is totalled or not but i took a ride to the MB dealer and was just looking around. I spotted a 2010 E350 (CPO), black, almond/black, P1, heated seats, and shade, parktronic and 27k miles, also has the round fogs. Dealer is asking $42k...i feel like this is way too much..what in your mind is a reasonable offer or would i do better getting a brand new one. I drive alot so i like the 6/100k warranty of CPO

Seems kind of high to me as well. That car probably had a sticker around $55,000. With the kind of discounts that I've seen people get on the forum, you would most likely pay no more than $50,000 new. Although there is much debate on the topic, some think that the new engines will be in the "e" class for the 2012 model year. That will further pressure pricing on older 212's. That's also a pretty high mileage car. I would bid him back a couple of thousand or look for a deal on a new car. Regards. Ned.

Brand new 2011 E350 Silver / Black interior, sport, pano, p1, option wheels and sunshade (just noticed i had it today but not sure if it was an option), for $49,250.00. Brand new.

Pass on yours and find a new one. There's a pricing thread somewhere here on the forums.

2010 GLK 4matic
thanks for the replies guys. I think it is a bit too high for what the car is...the mileage also really bothers me a little, but i avg about 30k a year myself so ya know whatever i get is gonna have the miles racked up on it which is why i prefer to purchase CPO instead of having to add that extra warranty on my dime.

I see your point about getting a CPO. CPO adds one to the time remaining to a the warranty and takes you to 100,000 miles. At your driving rate, you would burn through a new car warranty in less than two years. I would do a search on something like cars.com for a 1-1.5 year old CPO with less than 10,000 miles to maximize your warranty bang for the buck. That way you'll get around three years of coverage without paying more, and get to see lots of offerings. Regards. Ned.
