Will flashing my ecu void my warranty????

2011 e 350,clk 550
Will flashing my ecu void my warranty????

Hey i have a new e 350 sedan and i was thinking about flashing the ecu. but i was worried to was going to void my warranty and its a lease can i give the car back like that or do i have to re flash it back to factory settings when i give it back??? if anyone know and could help me out i would appreciate it!

when you return a lease that car goes straight to car auction =D

Not true. The rejects go to the auction, and the ones deemed worthy (by the Dealer) to remain on the lot, get CPO'd and put for sale.

To O/P, yes, I'd put it back to stock. If they find out, they'll surely give you guff.

No, it will not void your warranty. The dealer can void coverage of certain part of the engine/drivetrain if they can prove that the reflash caused damage to the engine or certain components (ex: removing a rev limiter caused premature cam wear which lead to premature engine failure).

Whats the point of flashing the ECU on a E350 lease. Sounds like a complete waste of $$ for maybe 10whp. But to answer the question it will not void the warranty.
