Could really not tell that it was softer, could not tell it was harder either. You would think it is softer with 1/2" more rubber in the tire wall but I could not really say it was softer.

Of course this also depends on tires but I had the same tire from the same tire maker. But this does not necessarily mean the tires are built the same for two different rim sizes.
