Fix bent rims?
Buddy of mine told me that some shops have a machine that can fix bent rims. Does anyone have experience with this and....does it really work?
I whacked another pothole today and now the vibration is worse.

Yes sir, I just got my OEM SL55 AMG turbine rims done at New England Wheel Repair. I had a small bend but it was bigger than what looks to the eye. I had to get 3 of my rims done. It was done for a decent price too. Wheels are perfect now. You can see how true and straight they are when they're spinning on the machine. So yes it really does work. Some will debate it weakens the wheel or w/e but honestly the oem wheels are strong enough to handle a small bend being fixed without posing any safety risks.

I've bent several rims over the years living in New England and have used Wheel and Rim Works in Waltham Mass http://www.rimandwheelworks.com/. I've even had then weld cracked rims and they have been great. Easy folks to work with and prices are fair.

I've use Wheel Collision Center in Bath, PA twice. http://wheelcollision.com. Once for my wife's W211 E500 wagon (3 rims, gets hammered on New England trips) and I just was there having them straighten a rim on my W211 E500 sedan, took them about 45 minutes to inspect, straighten the rim and mount/balance a new tire.
