iphone 3gs no sound w/ media interface
Does anyone have an idea why my Iphone 3gs wont play sound of music when attached to the media interface in the glove box, but does when enabled wi-fi, non attached?

Maybe the cable is getting loose, can happen when driving on bumpy roads.

My iPhone 3GS connects without issues to the Media Interface and also to the Bluetooth streaming audio without issues. Try deleting the device from the Bluetooth menu and re-pairing it with the car. I have also read that there may be software updates available from MB that may address the issue. I would seek assistance from your dealer.

Thanks for the advice i tried repairing and the issue did not correct. However I realized when attached to the media interface blue tooth must be off, otherwise it interferes with sound delivery. All is well now and loving this car!

Maube your iPhone os should be updated. I'm using 4.2.1 (jailbroken) and have no problem with Bluetooth on. But I normally turns off wifi, when leaving home.
I had few times when bumpy roads that connection lost between iPhone and cable..

i checked my software version on the phone and it is 4.3. Does not seem correct that when the phone is attached to the interface cable you have to shut off BT to stream the music. You then cant use your phone to make calls. I called MB the rep did not know the answer. I asked if i need the MIP to stream off the iphone as well. Any additional thoughts?
