Accelerator Lag on Startup

Accelerator Lag on Startup
I have a 2011 E350. When I start the car in the morning, it seems to take about 5-10 seconds before the gas pedal become responsive. Before then, pressing on the gas moves the car slowly, but there's no power. Has anyone else had this issue?

You also really don't need to warm up a car. That was back in the day with the older cars/models. I guess it might apply in sub zero temperatures, but I'm just speaking from my experience here in Los Angeles where there isn't that much fluctuation in temps.
You might want to look into the following product. Main purpose for using this product is to decrease/eliminate the acceleration lag that you talk about that is the norm on these cars. I have it on my car as do a bunch of other forum members. Just follow the link below.

If you are saying that your gas pedal is not responding for the first 5-10 seconds, that is not right. You should immediately take the car to your dealer and have this fixed. I would recommend you leave the car overnight so that the service tech can experience the issue when cold. Mercedes traditionally require a bit more pedal travel to get them moving (at least in my experience).

You really should not feel any difference in acceleration from when you first start up the car and when you have been driving it for a long time.

O/P's car is definitely glitched though, my pedals fully responsive regardless of how long I've been driving it or have it on.

I dunno why, but I'm in the habit of "warming up" my car until the RPM's settle from the initial slight rev (only takes like 30 seconds or so at longest). I figure it can't hurt, even on the newest cars.

It takes me at least 10 sec to back out of the garage (kind of tight on sides), onto the driveway, onto street and then put it in Drive, so I can't say I've seen this

for some reason the initial revs for the e class drops very little compared to the old c class
