Removing the Command Unit

Has any every removed the command unit before? I've searched around, but couldn't find much info on it. I have the VIM module and wanted to pull the deck out myself.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have removed and replaced the Command unit in my 2010 E350 and installed a VIM. (It works sweet) I have attached the instruction that came with my unit, they are pretty good, you need to go slow and be very careful removing the wood trim. If you're uncomfortable about taking you dash apart you may want to have a professional do the job. It took me about and hour to complete. PM me if you want some more info.

Okay, after an hour of tinkering around and making sure I didn't efff anything up, i've done it! The VIM module was plug and play but i had to take some wiring out of the stock one and put it in the aftermarket one for it to work. Thanks fclohden for the instructions to take out the deck. It was simple and easy to follow.
