Question Was there ever a W212 2009?
I'm aware that they produced W212's in 2009 but was there ever a 2009 model year, or registered as a 2009?

I guess you mean in the US? First W212 cars were delivered early 2009 in Europe, certainly registered during 2009 (but with option code 800).
