Deactivate Remote Trunk Opening?

Deactivate Remote Trunk Opening?
Do any of you know if there's a way to deactivate the remote trunk opening function? My trunk opens on its own about once a week now. Usually it's in the garage at the time but occasionally it's happened outside in a parking lot. Fortunately it hasn't happened yet in a downpour or if I have something valuable in the trunk but it sure could. I thought maybe if I was able to deactivate the remote trunk opening it might solve the problem.

K-A is right. Take it in and get the dealer to reprogram it or fix it. I'd have a hard time dismantling a nice feature because of a Gremlin in the wiring or someone else having the same code.

Thanks guys. I know you're right but I'm pretty frustrated about the possibility of fixing it. I talked to a service manager a few days ago and he of course had never heard of this happening before. He said they would run diagnostics on it but probably couldn't duplicate the problem and didn't have any suggestions. I guess I have to start somewhere though.
