Radio concern in 2011 E550
Has anyone heard their radio sound seem to skip or drag during a song? This is only on FM stationsm and the HD signal/broadcast. First few times I thought maybe due to clouds and satelite reception. It is more frequent now. Perhaps a programing or software issue? Any thoughts/comments appreciated. Thanks.

Bingo! Got someone else that has experienced it. You have to be listening for it and if focused on other things (as we should be), its easy to dismiss. I wonder if MB has a software update of sorts. I'll call my dealer.

Talked to the dealer and the drag/gap/blip issue is tied to the radio continuosly seeking the HD signal. They said clients who have complained of this, set radio back to FM Analog, have not complained again. So, although HD seems nice and is 95+% of the time, it is not without its sacrifices. I hope this helps any others out there who have experienced the same. Thanks.

Got in the car this am and tried to change the Sat channel in garage before getting signal. Backed out and picked up signal but could not change the channel. I could select FM, disk or the other audio sources but couldn't change the Sat channel. Tried the voice command, command knob, buttons....nothing. Turned the car on / off, radio on / off...still nothing.
Got back in the car at lunch and walla..... Working again. I think the sat radio module froze up and needed to be off for a while to reset.
Anyone else ever had this?
