40k service price

Anyone get the 40k service done at the dealership?
Just want to find out how much it cost
Please mention what dealership and city as well
trying to do the math to decide between the different prepay maintenance plans

Call a dealer and they can give you the price for all of your services. Or, of course, you could buy your dad the missing toolkit and do the work yourself...lol.

I have gotten a range of price between $950-1200 for the 40k service
trying to get feedback on actual price paid by people...if they ever found a special for the transmission fluid change or whatever else is included in the service

The problem is... the finance managers sell the plan but usually don't know the details of what each service covers and what it costs (or just won't tell you straight up)
So i am going back and forth trying to get all the info

Whoa...at 40k miles you are almost out of warranty. I say take it to an independent authorized shop. In fact, you don't have to have a stealer to do any maintenance to keep your warranty. I may do A and B at my local dealer to keep the good relationship going, but after that I will competitively price service.
