Easy entry/exit feature?

My cls seat goes back when the door is opened, but on the E - only the steering wheel moves. Has MB disabled this feature? Anyone know how to get the feature to work on the seat?

I had that feature on our 2004 E320 but they took it off the 2008 E350 and 2011 E550.

I think they did it because it didn't work very well.

Yes, it sucks, I'm so used to this on my CLK. My wife is quite small so when I try to use the car there is no way for me to get in until I move the seat back. It works perfectly on my CLK so not sure what issues they could have had on the E.

I don't see a use for it unless you're overly obese

well I'm sure that would help in that case

We are in very good shape but my wife is petite so her chair settings make it hard for me to get in as I'm much taller then her. Having the active multi-countor seats does not help as the sides are much more curved making things harder.

Had this on my 05 E and liked it. Understand that it was decontented in 06 as my 2010 does not have it. Also miss the key recognition.

I had it in my '03 320 and loved it. Considering that I have a handicapped left leg, that convenience of the seat moving to accomodate me getting in and out was great. My 350 I have to move the seat all the way back and use the personalized seat settings to adjust. I do wish MB would bring that feature back.
