Hyp: I know what you mean, and just because some of us engage in stupid behavior doesn't mean that we shouldn't point or call it out as a good service to our fellow members of the human race when we see it. I've done stupider things than driving stoned (I don't smoke), which is driving pi$$ *** drunk. I've also been in a high speed street racing accident with a Porsche 911 GT2. I don't drink anymore, nor do I race, nor do I buy fast cars to provoke me, etc. That's just my own personal way of dealing with it I guess.
However, if someone's gonna boast about smoking out while driving (not talking cigs), or being reckless on our roads with our families/loved ones/friends on them, then they deserve some Internet "tsk tsk" at the very least.
People driving under the influence of any inebriating substances, or recklessly, or distracted by phones, gizmo's, etc., affects us all. All it takes is one jerkoff and bam, there goes your life, or your wife/gf's, childs, friends, etc.

This isn't about judging people but it is about identifying poor behavior that might lead to problems. I don't know anyone here on the board so I can't judge them (nor do I want to) so what you do and say is immaterial. If you provide good information then I'll listen. If you provide poor information or say something foolish then I'll call you on it.
The thing that I've learned with forums is not to even look at the poster's name whilst reading a post. That way it very easy to look at the information you provide in that particular post separate from the information (or drivel) that you might present in a different post.
After a while you, of course, figure out which posters provide consistently better information and which posters are most likely to provide inaccurate or irrelevant information.
Many have probably labeled me as the stickler for regs and I've done that intentionally - you can only make an informed decision if you're aware of the laws, regulations, advantages and consequences (both intentional and unintended) of a particular course of action - be it planning to rob a bank or putting aftermarket tire valve stem caps on your car. I provide that information so that you can make an informed decision. If you consider all of the possible consequences of an action then you can determine if the risks outweigh the benefits and you can be mentally and fiscally prepared to assume the consequences. Quite frankly, unless you are driving in my neck of the woods, I don't care how you mod your car. If we are both driving the same roads then I have a vested interest in assuring that you and your car are in the best condition and complying with the applicable laws.
In this case, a poster got called out for seemingly advocating impaired driving. I doubt that the poster that called him out was "judging" him, he merely pointed out that doing drugs while driving isn't a very bright idea. Posting that on a public forum might not be the brightest idea either.
As a mature individual, you can either take such critisism to heart and move on or can be immature and dwell on it at every opportunity.
I'd suggest that we look at each post in a vacuum and consider if the information contained in that particular post is valuable. If it is valuable then we determine how to use that information - if we deem it irrelevant then we can ignore it and move on, remembering that the poster that posted something immaterial this time might be the poster who provides the best information in another topic.

Drugs affect cognitive reasoning and the ability to paraphrase properly (Polly Anna???)
An off topic post calling others out about an off topic post that you started is an off topic post
Bringing religion and/or politics into an automotive discussion isn't a good idea.
Posters like this are obviously the school bullies.
That said, I don't ever use my keyfob with Keyless-GO. I stick it in my pocket in the morning and take it out at night.
There - we're back on topic.

I'm the original "offender" here and in the 20 years I spent working in a large hospital's ER I've seen more death than most here can possibly imagine.Death caused by heart attacks....strokes...cancer...gunshot/stab wounds and *car accidents*.Add to that the fact that my niece was killed (at the age of 18) in an accident caused by a drunk driver and I'd say that I can speak on this subject. That's why I pointed it out in the first place but, when all is said and done, there are none so blind as those who will not see.

Truth up there. ^^
Unfortunately, for every Niece that gets killed, there's a handful of d-bags who like to boast about driving inebriated.

things with and without wheels
I wonder how many people tried to beat a light and wound up hitting a family sedan or a minivan with kids traveling to a nice family outing being cutoff by an individual using his paddle shifters thinking he is Mario Andretti.

Nothing worse than a reformed smoker or drinker, reminds me of the old adage.
"those who can,do.Those who cant,teach."
The trunk lock button gets alot of usage,,locking it up w/o touching the key, sometimes have to check if I have the key at all because its there in spirit only.

Of course, you wouldn't assume that pointing out my flaws (which indeed exist) would devalue my pointing out the obvious flaws of someone else, would ya?

I haven't used the Paddles in a couple of months at least, and I can't remember the last time I flogged it to beat a light, so looks like I may be a candidate for "reformation" already! Uh oh, nothing worse than that apparently.

Stemegs,
Would you fly an airplane or ride a motorcycle stoned? If the answer is no to either, then why would you drive a car that way?
Most people outgrow this behavior or die trying. It's all about who they take with them.

Exactly. If you were driving that way in your own closed quarters, then it's none of our business. If you do it in public, with "us" around, it's everybody's business.

I don't think you can get through to those who think it's OK to drive recklessly, negligently and/or impaired. They're simply above reproach.
However, if their loved ones fell victim to a negligent driver, they'd likely be quick to file a wrongful death suit against anyone even remotely related to the accident. Of course, with their childish mentality, that might be scored as a win, as they can then take the whopping settlement check and buy a nice car or two, or a few mods, and even some stash to burn for the ride. They just don't learn as the part of their brain that manages a sense of responsibility hasn't matured.
Sure, money can buy nice cars, but it can't replace loss of life, and we now have proof it doesn't buy class and it certainly doesn't buy brains.

Damn it...maybe this is a 2012 thing. My 2011 will only move the passenger side. Driver side will not tilt back to original position after shifting to drive.

One trick that might help is to use a second memory setting for the driver's seat and mirror. The seat position would be the same as memory 1, but memory 2 would have the mirror pointed down. The negative is that when you want to make use of the feature, you would have to go to reverse on the stalk, then press M2, the mirror tilts, you complete your backward movement, go to "D" and then press M1.

Good trick, but Jesus for a $60k car we I have to press and HOLD 3 to get my seat and mirrors correct as its my wife's car. That takes about 8 seconds of holding. Then I have to press and hold 2 to back up. That takes about 2 seconds. Then to go forward press and hold 3 again. This car has a lot of shortcomings for a $60k car.
