Question What do you use the most? the least?

Heads:

hope all is well....

I use the HELL out of my cruise control.......use the CD player mostly...
and of course when the chance presents, I also use as much of my 382's
that I can, lol....
but other than that, I don't really use much else.....

was wondering what other use the most in our Cars....or don't ever use.....

enjoy the ride

Most Use:

I use the music register and iPod interface a lot when traveling canyon roads where radio, phone and even satellite reception cuts out.

Trunk - It is nice to have a real, concealed trunk again that holds my golf clubs and a few other items when necessary.

Little or No Use:

Back seat. Few passengers have been in my car.

I/C. Set various options when getting the car, and typically only use the MPG computer out of curiosity. Sometimes check tire pressure, but that is about it.

HP - Of the limited HP available, I doubt come close to using what I have very often. While this is the least powerful car I've had in many years, it is still enough to propel the car quite well in my normal use.

SAKS gift card - Did not use.

The M button for the tranny, the two paddle shifters, and the right pedal on the floor (with the pedal next to it as needed.)

Use: BT Audio, Hold feature!!!, trunk hooks for grocery bags

Don't Use: Voice command (at least not as much as I'd like to), Weather band (didn't serve a purpose in my C300 and doesn't now), Paddle shifters, front seat storage

OT: because of the way the gear shift works, does anyone - besides me - ever forget to put the car in park before turning the car off? I forget a lot and since the car is forgiving, it puts it in park anyway...

don't usually forget to park it....but yeah, I NEVER use that stupid command voice...it would be so sweet to be able to mod the voice, then I would probably use it more.....

I used the Paddle Shifter once; I love the blind spot detection; I haven't used the adaptive cruise as of yet; I have never been a smoker (Ash tray and lighter never gets used); CD Player never gets used. I am still reading the book! hahaha

My DD was '02 S2000 so I am enjoying just having a larger car! LOL

I'm surprised none of you use the paddles shifters.

Tap the downshift paddle twice in quick succession and bam, bam you're in the right rpm power band to accelerate very quickly. Relying on hitting the accelerator to the floor and then having the pedal do the downshift just takes way too long and isn't efficient. Same with helping braking and going into the corners hard: bam bam and you've drop two gears to help with braking and then bam bam upshift again to pull out of the corner.

The NA motors need to be in a higher rpm band to take advantage of the motor's torque and hp. With the paddles you pick the rpms. That's why they give you paddles (and just like in F1 you don't need to take your hands off the wheel )

The only problem is that there's a bit of a lag with the 7G tranny. It's not that bad but it's noticeable. But when you use the shifters it won't top the gear you've tapped into (until you bounce off the rev limiter) and that helps keep you in the juicy part of the rpms.

Most used: BT Audio, NAV, Cupholder, Trunk Hooks, hands free phone.

Least: Never used CD Player, Can't use 40gb HDD b/c don't have CD's like some sort of caveman from 2002, Heated Seats (I live in AZ), iPod hookup (b/c it's all the way in the glovebox and a pain to get to, at least they figured it out in the '12's).

I use the Paddle's when I need to beat a light, or pass someone with more vigor (i.e, I think I use it pretty healthily). The P2 Trunk Closer is actually brilliant for shopping days, and the trunk hooks I just started using.

Thanks to this Forum, I use BT, and the Hold Feature.

I pretty much use everything, but:

CD Changer (Rarely use it, scroll through Radio Stations constantly, instead),

Rear Sunshade (Windows are as Tinted as they get),

DVD Player (I've tried to make use of it lately, but can't find a time where watching when the car is off is desirable, and on without picture makes Concert DVD's an only bet),

Rear Seats (rarely ever have rear passengers.... In fact, I rarely have a front passenger), which means that I nor anyone really makes use of the amazing view upwards from back there,

Peak HP (I've rarely called upon all Horsies),

Trunk close from inside the car (rarely have a moment when I need it),

Sat: Expired,

Weather thing on the Command: Never use it (don't get it).

Never hook up any iPods/MP3's/Etc. in the car.

Use the cruise as much as possible - better fuel economy and way fewer speeding tickets. Use Music Register since I have downloaded about 1300 tracks from CD's to it. Still use CD player some, especially when wife wants her music on trips, which has not been downloaded.
Let the Sirrius expire and won't renew. Too much talking on music stations.
Keep the sunroof flipped open a lot, but then June through Sept. is mandatory AC time in the South. Humidity is only 71% today with a high of only 92!
DRL's are on all the time.
Used the paddle shifters about three times in 18 months or so, just to see what they did.
Rear window shade stays up almost all the time.
Seat heater, even in Summer. Makes my back feel better on longish trips.
Voice command if using Navigation, but that is only on trips.

I use the Paddles all the time and when I feel like having fun I put it into," Dyno mode" which allows me to get some oversteer and kick the **** end sideways, paddles keep in the right gear. 220s, I wish I had your car, that thing has to be fun. I use the ipod adapter, rear sunshade up at all times, and all 382/391....- I never use the airmatic raise button, Auto trunk closer, or the dynamic seat buttons.
