2008 Lexus ES350
Is this a good deal?
First time poster. I would love to know your thoughts if this is a good deal. Trying to get this done today. I live about one hour north of Dallas. This will be my first Benz.
2011 MB E350 sport sedan (black with almond MB-Tex upholstery), P1 package and split folding rear seats.
Sales price: $49,000 (includes $2,000 in Conquest cash since I'm trading in my Lexus). Is basically $2,000 below invoice.
I'm doing the 33 month lease....10k miles per year.....have excellent credit (849 out of a possible 850).
Money factor: .00240
Residual: 66%
Up front fees: first month's payment and dealer fees of approx. $338.
Is this a good deal? It sure seems like it is to me.

I don't think my payment will be that low. I haven't gotten the payment amount from the dealer yet. My trade in value is $25,000 on my 2008 Lexus ES350.........and I owe $11,350 on it. I'm only going to put about $3k of the equity into the purchase of the Benz, and so they'll end up getting me a check for approx. $11k.

Way too many variables here to say whether or not it's a good deal.
I say wait for the 2012 model. Has some nice updates. Or wait for when they are dying to unload the 11's when the 12 comes out.

Case in point: I just leased an Iridium Silver 2011 E350 with P1 and split folding rear seats. MSRP of 55435 with destination. I got a total of about $9000 off MSRP ($4000 for Conquest plus about $5000 in dealer incentives. I don't have the exact numbers in front of me now). I had all fees and taxes rolled into the monthly payments. At signing, I only paid the first month payment. My monthly payment on this 48 month/10K mile lease is $579. Oh, and the dealer trucked the car to my home address (212 miles) for free! That's a $750 freebie right there.
My advice is for you to get quotes from multiple dealers before you pull the trigger on your current one. The dealership I got my car from still has a few cars with P1 and split folding rear seats. Let me know if you want my CA information.

Certainly not a bad deal, I'd say, but prices and deals are all over the place right now with E-Classes, very sloppy.
I got my P2/AMG Wheel Pack/Etc. E350 (MSRP @ $58,xxxK) for $48,xxxK, with some leftover equity from the Lease on my outgoing 2010 also helping out.
Production on 2011's has already stopped, and the 2012's seem to be getting delayed, so especially if you want a well optioned 2011, now is the time to find an aggressive Dealer.

Ah, I thought I heard that here, and my Salesman "confirmed" it. I should know better than to believe that.
Edit: Or maybe production on the E63's are still going, since it's much more low volume, and E350's are not being produced, due to the large inventory.

With a FICO that high you're at tier 1A financing, which ought to be .00210 MF. Push for direct debit payments and shave another .00010 off the MF.
Watch out for other hidden costs, e.g. the bank fee, which ought to be $750 or so.
66% residual? Is that right? Sounds a bit too high -- it seems like they tweak the MF to stimulate sales, not the residual.

Funny thing is, it's very dependent on how savvy a shopper you are. My Dealer told me (again, I guess you don't know what to believe) that a decent deal in their high volume/wealthy area Dealer for a P2/Optioned E350 is $5+K down and well over $600 a month.

If I could find a good dealer, for service after the sale, I wouldn't mind paying more. It's really tough to find a decent dealer for repairs. Many are just outright highway robbers. I haven't had an experience with a MB dealer yet but I suspect a lot of MB owners aren't as sensitive to it; if they were they probably wouldn't be a MB purchaser in the first place.

Thought I got a great deal earlier this month on a 2011 E350 4Matic/Panoramic Roof/AMG Wheel Package/Split Folding Seats/Multi contour seat. After seeing this thread developed I could have done much better. To pour salt in the wound I just saw my recently traded 2008 E350 4Matic /P2 w/ 30k miles in pristine condition listed at the dealer for $39888. I got $31k on trade and was very happy. Buying a car is like going to the strip club, you get fuked but not laid.....

Just picked this up today
2011 E350 ($1500 down includes 1st month payment)
white w/ black interior
33 months 12K miles
P2 /AMG WHEELS / rear spoiler
3 yr/30k prepaid maintenance (basically, go in one time per year for the life of the lease - 3 times total. Supposedly, the dealer charges $288 each time for this service)
Total $644 / month.
Wanted the E550, but wife was happy with the E350 and so was my wallet.

How are you guys getting 12K Miles? Are you simply just paying the extra .25 per extra mile after 10K for it (rolled into the monthly payment)?

BTW: I have a theory... these oddball lease terms (33 months, 39 months, etc.) make me wonder if they offer these time intervals so that they can offer a stimulating residual rate on those special terms. Since tweaking the residual dramatically might invite class actions from consumer watchdogs if, for example, the 36-month rate were to fluctuate too wildly mid-year, I could certainly see a lot of angry people making noise. Sorta like how everyone FREAKS out when they've just bought a computer and then two weeks later the bigger, faster model is announced for less money.
Thoughts?
